TAMPA - Just in time for the puck to drop, Bright House Networks is adding the NHL Network.
The cable provider announced today that the National Hockey League Network is up and running on channel 808 as part of the Bright House Networks digital "Sports PAK," an optional service for digital cable customers.
The league's season begins today. The NHL Network will carry more than 50 games this season.
Bright House Networks customers also can watch 70 Tampa Bay Lightning games from the Sun Sports Network throughout the 2007-08 NHL season; 25 of those games will be shown in HD on Bright House Networks HD Sports 1 and 2, on Bright House Networks channels 650 and 651.
"Nonstop NHL programming is exactly what hockey fans want to see, and we are excited to be able to provide it to them as the new NHL season begins," says Kevin Hyman, Bright House Networks Tampa Bay division president. "It will be a whole new way they can closely follow the entire hockey season."
