WAHNETA -- A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday night, accused of running a meth lab in a motor home, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reported.

Erin Trent Harris

Erin Trent Harris, 35, of 621 Morgan Road, Wahneta, an area south of Winter Haven, and Kristi Elliot, 36, of 1130 N. Lake Parker, Lakeland, were arrested after undercover narcotics detectives said they saw the active meth lab.

Detectives went to the address after receiving a tip that Harris, the homeowner at 621 Morgan Road, was growing marijuana on the property. Harris agreed to walk the detectives over his property – a few hundred yards off Rifle Range Road.

Detectives did not find any marijuana being grown, but did notice a small motor home in the back yard with a fan and hoses attached to it, authorities said.

Detectives found glass containers, plastic tubing, and these chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamines: muriatic acid, Coleman lantern fuel, pseudoephedrine pills and lithium batteries.

Harris and Elliott were charged with manufacture of meth, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Harris was also charged with possession of cannabis and Elliott was charged with giving false name to law enforcement.

They were being booked into the Polk County Jail on Wednesday night held without bail, authorities said.
