This week: wrinkle creams. Do you have laugh lines that aren't very funny? What about crow's feet accentuating your eyes? Forehead flaps a cause for concern? It's time to make those wrinkles cease and desist. Our testers gave some of the newest wrinkle creams a try. Find out if it went over smoothly.
Institut Arnaud Paris Extreme Anti-Aging Cream
This product will "help firm skin appearance and combat wrinkles" and "repairs skin's appearance, nourishes and moisturizes."
Rating: A
Michelle says: We all know that French women don't get fat. And, in my personal observation, they don't get wrinkles, either (case in point: Catherine Deneuve). Which is why I called dibs on the Institut Arnaud Paris Extreme Anti-Aging Cream for this test. It's a one-two punch, with one lighter cream for the day and a heavier one for night. Ooh la la! After one month, I noticed le difference on my tired, sagging skin. The French even know how to make the application process sensual, suggesting that the user put tiny dabs of the velvety cream on one's fingertips, then gently massage it into the face and neck. Best of all, you won't have to mortgage the house for this fountain of youth. Arnaud is now a staple at the corner Walgreens, making this product a far better buy than most high-end (and overpriced) face-fixers at the local department store. I'm sold.

Oli Intensive Anti-Aging Cream
"Oli is a complete, yet simple anti-aging skin care system combining olive oil and olive leaf extract with cutting-edge technology to deliver optimum skin-rejuvenating results. Delivers unmatched protection against lines, dryness and the aging process."
Rating: C+
Cloe says: When you hit 40, wrinkle creams are nonnegotiable. That's when I noticed fine lines appearing around my eyes and mouth. I've been searching ever since for a product to help lessen the signs of aging. Oli Intensive Anti-Aging Cream has olive oil. So if olive oil is good for your heart and reduces the risk or coronary heart disease, I figured it must do wonders for your face. Oli is an excellent moisturizer. The cream soaks in quickly and isn't a bit greasy. After a week, applying it only at night, I noticed my skin's texture was softer and smoother. And my skin tone appeared more glowing in the morning. Unfortunately, I have very oily skin that's also very sensitive; it wasn't long before I started breaking out on my forehead and the sides of my face. For the sake of product testing, I stopped using the cream, waited for my breakouts to clear, then resumed testing. When it happened again, I decided it was time to stop. This product doesn't contain an SPF skin protectant, so you would have to add one if you were to use it in the morning.

Avon ANEW Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector
"Improve fine and deep wrinkles up to 50 percent. Immediately plumps out wrinkles and fine lines. Within 48 hours begins boosting collagen production."
Rating: No rating
Kim says: Oh, I really wanted to like this product! I've heard so many good things about Avon's Anew line, and this product in particular, We got these wrinkle products just a few weeks before my (ahem) 49th birthday, so there was definitely some work to be done. But it was not to be. Within days, my face began to break out — and because the Anew was the only change in my beauty routine, I decided it was best to give it up. I was an "Avon lady" when I was a teenager, so I know they make good stuff. It just didn't work out for me this time.

Olay Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Daily SPF 15 Lotion
"Visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in just five days — leaving skin looking younger, smoother and overall healthier. Olay Anti-Wrinkle Daily SPF 15 Lotion … works deep within skin's surface to significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles."
Rating: D
Nancy says: I was pretty disappointed in this product. I love Olay products, but with this particular lotion, I see nothing different. I have been using this every morning and every night for over eight weeks, and it does nothing. It says it is proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but it sure hasn't done it for me. Too much of it squirts out so I'm having to use it all over my neck. It smells like suntan oil, and I don't want to put it on my face in the morning and smell like that at work. This isn't doing the trick for me, so I will go back to using what I have been using for my wrinkles.
