Verizon Wireless Florida's Clothesline Project arrived at Saint Leo University on Wednesday as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The exhibit consists of colorful T-shirts created by victims of domestic violence to air 'society's dirty laundry' with messages of pain and healing, a news release stated. The program featured Cecily Johnson, a domestic violence survivor, Pasco Sheriff Bob White and others.
The T-shirts will be displayed in Cannon Memorial Library through Oct. 12. Sunrise of Pasco County partners with Verizon for the program. Sunrise provides aid to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Call (352) 521-3358.
