Judge Overstreet represented clients in a variety of matters including:
1. Automobile products liability involving catastrophic injury including quadriplegia and severe closed head trauma; 2. Automobile negligence involving death; 3. School bus negligence involving death; 4. Medical negligence involving death; 5. Gas company negligence involving catastrophic injury;
6. Premises liability involving death by electrocution;
7. Felony / Criminal
8. Family law cases involving a variety of matters including equitable distribution of assets in excess of $1 million dollars.
Also certified in 1992 as a civil court mediator, and mediated approximately 50 cases involving personal injury and medical malpractice claims; lender liability and bankruptcy; agribusiness; and family law disputes.

Currently presiding over a criminal docket consisting of 25% of all felony cases in Bay County which have included recent high profile cases involving the first degree murder trial of Robert Bailey who was charged and convicted of killing officer Kevin Kight; the Bay County Jail Hostage case wherein four defendants were charged with taking over the Bay County jail with hostages; the murder trial of Monique Turrenne who was tried convicted of murdering her husband and resisting extradition from Canada for several years; Judge Overstreet also manages 33% of civil litigation cases which include contract litigation, medical malpractice and personal injury .
Instrumental in the implementation of the Children and Parent Program in Holmes County, the Teen Court Program in Washington County, the Truancy Court Program in Jackson and Calhoun Counties, as well as the Church Mentorship Program for juvenile delinquents in Calhoun County.
Previously honored by the Washington County Juvenile Justice Council as the Juvenile Justice Person of the year.
One of 24 Florida circuit judges honored by the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence for his commitment to eliminate domestic violence; conducting domestic violence injunction hearings with dignity and respect for the parties and counsel and for understanding the dynamics of domestic violence.
