THE DIFFERENCE: Another outstanding rushing performance from Tampa Catholic, led by senior Drew Zink, who has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of the Crusaders' three victories. Zink had 15 carries for 103 of the Crusaders' 230 total yards, including a 21-yard run for a touchdown. The Crusaders' Henry McCloud also contributed, rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown.

GAME NOTES: Tampa Catholic (4-1, 2-0) relentlessly pursued St. Petersburg (1-5, 1-1) in a driving rain for much of the game, despite St. Pete's ineligibility to make the Class 2A District 5 playoffs due to a recruiting violation last season…The Crusaders' Ralph Grover returned an interception 33 yards to score the game's first touchdown. It was the first of four interceptions by Tampa Catholic. … The Crusaders sacked Barons quarterback Kevin Tapp four times and held him to only four completions for 35 yards. … Converted Tampa Catholic quarterback Christian Green was held to his lowest numbers this season, completing only four of five passes for 52 yards and rushing for 7 yards. After going up 21-0 in the first half, a bobbled snap on the point-after-touchdown attempt in the second quarter led to a fumble recovery and a two-point conversion by Crusader defensive back Eric Gerken for the game's final points, ending at 29-0.

STAT OF THE GAME: Despite being shut out by Tampa Catholic, St. Petersburg Catholic is still averaging 26 points per game this season.
