Jacquie is a seriously dedicated journalist, so when she lands on the perfect magazine assignment/opportunity to meet new men, she throws herself wholeheartedly into the project.

The only problem is she doesn't actually need to move in with the male roommates she is contacting through Craigslist. She already owns an amazing East Village apartment.

Of course, she doesn't tell any of these men this. That would ruin the story - and her chances for finally finding true love.

After seeing the inside of several amazing apartments inhabited by not-so-amazing men and vice versa, she hits the jackpot with Anthony: a hot guy with a clean apartment in Brooklyn - and a sweet bulldog named Lucy.

She decides that just meeting him once is not going to get him to fall for her and chucks everything to move in with him.
Jacquie is a likeable character, despite her duplicitous way of finding 'love.' She greets every pup she encounters and doesn't obsess over designer clothes as chick-lit heroines are apt to do. She doesn't whine about her career or baby lust. If you can get over her sneakiness you may find yourself rooting for her and Anthony to end up together. Or maybe even one of the other guys she crosses paths with is a better match? We won't give it away here.

'Room For Love' gives anyone not familiar with the inside of a tiny Manhattan apartment a peek at the cutthroat world of big-city real estate. It also provides a peek inside the psyche of a single woman approaching her mid-30s without achieving all her dreams of the perfect mate and the perfect life.
