INDIANAPOLIS - The Bucs activated cornerback Torrie Cox and released safety Donte Nicholson on Saturday.
Cox was suspended without pay by the NFL for the first four regular-season games after violating the league's substance abuse policy. He was allowed to participate in preseason practices and games before his suspension, which began Aug. 31.
Cox was eligible to rejoin the active roster following last week's game at Carolina.
Nicholson came to the Bucs two years ago, when he was drafted out of Oklahoma in the fifth round. He was let go before the start of this season after Sabby Piscitelli and Tanard Jackson won jobs ahead of him.
