TAMPA - Police say they found 182 grams of crack cocaine and 209 grams of marijuana Monday while searching an apartment at 1904 E. 24th Ave.
Police went to the apartment in response to a 911 call saying cocaine was being cooked-manufactured there, a police report states.
Officers arrested three people, according to an arrest affidavit. The police report only lists two arrests.
Tammy L. Harris, 23, of Tampa, and Willie Bennett, 25, of Tampa, face felony charges of trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a day care facility. Harris also faces charges of violating probation.
Both are in Orient Road Jail with no bail set.
Officers saw Harris and Bennett coming from the kitchen area of an apartment, so the officers searched the area and found a small bag of marijuana and a cigar box with drugs inside, an arrest affidavit states. More drugs were found in a shoe box in an upstairs bedroom.
Police also seized Bennett's 2000 Nissan Maxima after they discovered an additional 1.2 grams of cocaine inside it, the police report states.
The apartment is 643 feet from a day care center, an arrest affidavit states.
