TAMPA - Sheriff's office investigators are looking for four men who broke into an apartment late Monday and pistol-whipped two men before stealing a laptop computer and cell phone.
The men burst into 8908 Citrus Village Drive, Apartment 208, at about 11:40 p.m. and struck residents Kyle Blank, 19, and Cory Martinez, 20, in the head with firearms, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
The four men demanded to know the whereabouts of drugs and money and also kicked the residents and struck them with their hands, the sheriff's office said. The men then took a laptop computer and cell phone.
The sheriff's office said it did not know the contents of the laptop computer.
An 18-year-old woman spending the night at the apartment was uninjured. The residents were treated at St. Joseph's Hospital for cuts and bruises, the sheriff's office said.
Investigators described three of the attackers as black men in their 20s and one as a Hispanic man in his 20s. One of the black men is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds and was wearing a black ski mask at the time, investigators said. Another is about 6 feet tall, weighs about 170 pounds and was wearing a white tank top and a black do-rag on his head.
The man described as Hispanic is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds and was wearing a light blue polo shirt.
