TAMPA - University of South Florida WR Amarri Jackson put a scare into the coaching staff when he went down with a right knee injury early in Monday's practice. Jackson, who leads the team with 19 catches for 203 yards and two TDs, had an ice bag taped to his knee.
USF wide receivers coach Mike Canales doesn't think the injury is serious.
'He'll be all right,' Canales said. 'He just tweaked it while running a route.'
Meanwhile, DE George Selvie (arm), RB Jamar Taylor (ankle) and LG Ryan Schmidt (ankle), who suffered injuries against Florida Atlantic, practiced Monday and will play Saturday when the No. 5 Bulls host UCF, Coach Jim Leavitt said.

Line Likely Won't Be At Full Strength
TALLAHASSEE - FSU's offensive line likely will be without starting RT David Overmyer for the second straight week. The senior, who suffered a sprained right knee against Alabama on Sept. 29, hoped to be back in time for Wake Forest this Thursday, but FSU coach Bobby Bowden said his status remains doubtful.
Senior Shannon Boatman will get the start once again in Overmyer's absence, but the Seminoles, who seemed to have plenty of depth during two-a-days, have become increasingly thin along the offensive front.
Overmyer's primary backup, sophomore Caz Piurowski, moved back to tight end after not playing in the first few games to address a lack of depth at his old position. Freshman OT Antwane Greenlee suffered a severe neck injury in early September and freshman Anthony Grosso left the program.
'Our depth has definitely gone down,' Overmyer said. 'We don't have much left, but I think the guys behind us are going to know what to do.'
Offensive line coach Rick Trickett said FSU enters Thursday night's conference game against Wake Forest with only eight game-ready linemen, including two freshman starters and two freshman reserves.
TURNOVERS KEY: Florida State's defense forced four N.C. State turnovers Saturday while the offense committed none. There's no doubt turnovers will be key again Thursday night.
Last season against Wake Forest, that statistic was reversed as FSU quarterbacks combined to throw four interceptions without the defense forcing a single turnover in a 30-0 loss in Tallahassee.
'They're a team that doesn't beat themselves,' Bowden said. 'When you play them you can't beat yourself and that's what we did a lot of last year.'
THACKER EYES RETURN: Starting NG Budd Thacker participated in practice Monday and expects to play against Wake Forest after missing two straight games with a dislocated toe.
NOLE NUGGETS: Bowden missed the first half of practice Monday to attend the funeral of team chaplain Clint Purvis' mother in Columbus, Ga. ... Bowden said 16 of his players attended Monday night's Golden Torch banquet, which honors athletes for their academic achievements.
