R. Kelly's twisted taste - most recently seen in his 'Trapped in the Closet' campfest - could be front and center on his upcoming U.S. concert tour.
The singer announced Tuesday that he will open the tour in Columbus, Ga., on Nov. 14. He will be joined by Keyshia Cole, Ne-Yo and J. Holiday.
The tour - in support of Kelly's latest album, 'Double Up' - tentatively includes stops in Atlanta; Dallas; Washington; Houston; Las Vegas; New Orleans; Philadelphia; Baltimore; Chicago; St. Louis; Newark, N.J.; and Oakland, Calif.
'Trapped in the Closet' is a 22-part ghetto soap opera with a cast of characters including a midget, gay pastor and convict named 'Twon. Kelly, 40, released a DVD of the strange saga in August.
Kelly was charged with child pornography in 2002 and is accused of engaging in videotaped sex acts with an underage girl. Kelly's trial in Chicago was postponed last month because the lead prosecutor had a baby. A new date hasn't been set.
Kelly's spokesman, Allan Mayer, said Tuesday that Kelly was in the process of getting court permission to travel on the tour.
Lee Says He Is Conversation-Shy
The next time you invite Oscar-winning director Ang Lee to a dinner party, make sure to seat him next to someone who talks a lot. Turns out Lee is really, really shy, with about as much social skill as that little statuette the Academy awarded him for 'Brokeback Mountain.'
'When I'm off the set, it's hard for me to carry a conversation. That's more difficult for me than making a movie,' Lee, 52, said Saturday on CNN's 'Talk Asia.'
'Making a movie, I have plans in my head. Somehow one way or another I manage to roll the camera and get something in the can. But off the set, at the dining table ... it's still awkward for me,' the Taiwan native said.
Nolte, Partner Welcome Baby Girl
It's a baby girl for Nick Nolte and his longtime partner, Clytie Lane.
The baby, who hasn't been named, was born Oct. 3 in Los Angeles. She weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, the actor's spokesman, Paul Bloch, said Tuesday in a statement. Mother and daughter were doing well, he said.
Nolte, 66, has a son, Brawley, from a previous marriage. The baby is Lane's first child.
Peas Scrap Show Because Fergie Is Ill
The Black Eyed Peas canceled a concert in El Salvador after Fergie fell ill.
The daily newspaper La Prensa Grafica reported that 10,000 people were at the concert Friday when the 32-year-old singer suddenly told the crowd she was sick. The show was canceled minutes later.
The band was in Mexico and Central America as part of their 'Monkey Business' tour.
Two Show, the concert's organizer, said in a statement Monday that it plans to reschedule the San Salvador concert sometime within the next three months. It also offered refunds to dissatisfied fans.
