ST. PETERSBURG - A 46-year-old maintenance worker was found shot to death in an alley this morning, police said.
Benjamin Philyor of St. Petersburg was found in an alley in the 2500 block of Langdon Avenue South at roughly 11:50 a.m., said police spokesman Bill Proffitt.
A neighbor remembered hearing three shots about 10 a.m. but did not venture outside to investigate until more than an hour later, Proffitt said.
No suspects have been identified.
Philyor was a maintenance worker at the James B. Sanderlin Family Center, at 2335 22nd Ave. S., and last was seen there when he reported for work at 8 a.m. today, Proffitt said.
