Helicopter Lands At Manatee High After Teen Shot At Nearby Home

BRADENTON - A Bayflight helicopter landed at Manatee High School about 10:15 a.m. today to pick up a man from a nearby neighborhood who was shot in the head.
Police say an 18-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting just before 10 a.m. at a home at 3716 Seventh Ave. W.
Authorities are questioning a 19-year-old about the shooting. No charges have been filed.
The helicopter was called from St. Petersburg. The school was locked down during the landing, according to police emergency broadcasts.
