TAMPA - Mayor Pam Iorio is at it again, placing bets on her alma mater, the University of South Florida, which will play the University of Central Florida in a game of football at Raymond James Stadium at noon Saturday.
Iorio, who placed and won a wager with the mayor of Morgantown, W.Va., two weeks ago, has placed a friendly bet with Buddy Dyer, the mayor of Orlando, the town UCF calls home.
If Iorio wins, she will be treated to a meal at one of several Orlando-based Darden Restaurants, which include Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones. Should the Golden Knights win the game, Iorio will fork over some Cuban sandwiches from the renowned Columbia restaurant in Ybor City.
There was no word on whether a point spread is involved. The USF Bulls are favored by 12 points.
