DADE CITY - A city review board on Wednesday approved a plan for a three-building office park on Seventh Street at a corner of Howard Avenue.
Wozniak Builders still wants to put up four Mediterranean-style buildings, one on each corner of the 1-acre site, owner Victor Wozniak told the Development Review Committee. But he said he understood the committee's concern that there is not enough room in the middle of the site for all the parking needed to support four office buildings.
Wozniak said he is looking for spots nearby that could be purchased and used for overflow parking. He wants to start building in November, though, and did not want to risk delaying the entire project until more parking is secured. Construction is expected to take six months.
So he changed his request to ask for approval of three buildings, each 3,200 square feet in size, with about 30 parking spaces. The committee approved, on the condition that Wozniak fix a technical problem with a manhole cover.
Wozniak plans to come back to the committee when he has extra parking available to ask for approval of the fourth building. The proposed office park is about three blocks south of the historic Pasco County courthouse.
A State Farm insurance agency plans to rent one of the buildings. Other tenants have not been announced.
