Bleeding heart - white calyx surrounds a scarlet corolla tube flowering in large clusters spring through fall; Delectum is a red cultivar, and Variegata has variegated leaves; partial shade; twining

Blue glory - blue-purple flowers with yellow throats year-round; sun; 4- to 6-foot sprawling plant

Bougainvillea - showy red, purple, white, pink or coral petal-like bracts spring through fall; sun; thorns!; twining

Brown bud allamanda - yellow and rose flowers all year; sun to partial shade; fast-growing; twining

Butterfly pea - deep blue or purple flowers spring through fall; may die back in winter but rebounds; sun or partial shade; twining
