PATRIOTS-COWBOYS
WHEN: 4:15 p.m.
WHERE: Texas Stadium, Irving
TV/CREW: WTSP, Channel 10/Jim Nantz, Phil Simms
ABOUT THE PATRIOTS: New England is off to one of the most dominating starts in modern NFL history, outscoring opponents by an average of 23 points per game. Tom Brady has thrown at least three TD passes in each win and RB Sammy Morris has posted back-to-back 100-yard efforts. New England's plus-7 turnover ratio is tied with Indianapolis for the league lead.
ABOUT THE COWBOYS: The NFL's No. 1 offense was stymied by turnovers in Buffalo, but the Cowboys remained unbeaten with a chance to open 6-0 for the first time since 1983. Tony Romo averages an NFL-high 8.82 yards per pass attempt and Marion Barber averages 6.0 yards per carry. LB DeMarcus Ware has 20 sacks in his last 23 games and former USF standout Anthony Henry already has four interceptions.
KEY STAT: This is only the second time since 1973 that teams with 5-0 records or better have met.
KEY MATCHUP: Cowboys S Roy Williams vs. Patriots TE Ben Watson. Williams often struggles in coverage; Watson has a TD reception in four of five games this season.
IRA KAUFMAN'S CALL: Patriots, 27-16
A strong rebound week for the K-man, thanks to Cowboys K Nick Folk, my new folk hero. An 11-3 ledger leaves us at a nifty 49-27 heading into Week 6. And unlike six teams, we don't plan on taking the weekend off.
Ravens over Rams, 23-14. Not a good week for Bulger and those cracked ribs to return.
Bears over Vikings, 20-6. Griese makes just enough good reads.
Browns over Dolphins, 33-30. Whoever has the ball last wins.
Packers over Redskins, 17-14. Decided by a late turnover.
Jaguars over Texans, 14-9. Not enough weapons to test Jacksonville's stout defense.
Bengals over Chiefs, 24-17. It's gut-check time for Marvin's crew.
Eagles over Jets, 41-21. McNabb over Mangenius in a laugher.
Cardinals over Panthers, 21-16. Arizona learning to win the close ones.
Raiders over Chargers, 24-21. We have a Warren Sapp sighting.
Seahawks over Saints, 34-14. Seattle plays much bigger at home.
