TAMPA - Mayor Pam Iorio is bringing city hall to 40th Street.
Her final town hall meeting of the year is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday in the cafeteria at Sheehy Elementary School, 6402 N. 40th St.
"It's her last town hall meeting of the year, so we're anticipating people from all over will come," said Shannon Edge, director of the city's neighborhood and community relations office. "We think we'll get a large turnout from North Tampa, Seminole Heights and Temple Crest."
All town hall meetings are free and open to the public and are organized to bring city government closer to the people. City administrators and department representatives will be available to answer questions on a variety of topics.
Iorio has asked representatives from the Florida Department of Transportation to attend Tuesday's meeting in case residents have questions about the 40th Street widening or repaving projects for Busch Boulevard and Nebraska Avenue.
