TAMPA - After stabbing a man in the head and upper back Sunday, Roberto Matos Marzo threw a beer bottle at the man's mother and threatened her with a bat, Hillsborough County deputies say.
The bottle struck the woman on the back, an arrest affidavit states.
The man was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office. Information on his mother was not immediately available.
Marzo, 31, was charged with felony attempted murder, felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor resisting arrest without violence after the 6 p.m. incident at John's Mart, 7315 John's Road.
The construction worker, of 6314 John's Road, remains in Orient Road Jail with no bail set.
