BUFFALO, N.Y. - Ales Kotalik scored a power-play goal with four seconds left in overtime to give the Buffalo Sabres a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night.
Kotalik's slap shot from the left circle was stopped by goalie Andrew Raycroft, but Toronto defenseman Bryan McCabe inadvertently knocked the puck into his own net to give the Sabres the dramatic victory.
Jason Pominville and Jochen Hecht had a goal and an assist each, and Adam Mair and Thomas Vanek also scored for Buffalo, which won its third straight game.
Chad Kilger had two goals and an assist, Nik Antropov added one of each, and Simon Gamache also scored for the Maple Leafs, who have dropped three of four.

Boulerice Placed On Waivers By Flyers
PHILADELPHIA - Jesse Boulerice, who last week was given the longest single-season suspension in NHL history for hitting a player in the face with his stick, was placed on waivers by the Flyers.
The 29-year-old was suspended 25 games by the league for cross-checking the Canucks' Ryan Kesler in the face on Wednesday. The penalty matched the ban given to New York Islanders forward Chris Simon in March for his two-handed stick attack of Ryan Hollweg of the New York Rangers.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said the decision was based on the team's need for more roster space while dealing with injuries.
'It just gives us more freedom to do more things with our roster, that's all,' Holmgren said. 'Other than that, there's nothing behind it.'
NHLPA: The Players' Association officially nominated former U.S. assistant district attorney Paul Kelly for its executive director position.
The nomination was made during a conference call Monday night with the union's 30 player representatives, who will conduct a secret ballot vote during the next week. A majority vote is required for Kelly to be elected.
The five-player search committee, consisting of Eric Lindros, Chris Chelios, Mike Cammalleri, Shawn Horcoff and Robyn Regehr, got help from Chicago search firm Reilly Partners and interviewed a long list of candidates before narrowing it to three.
PENGUINS: Defenseman Brooks Orpik sustained a concussion while being leveled during Saturday's game in Toronto but is expected to play Wednesday against New Jersey.
Pittsburgh coach Michel Therrien said Orpik passed a neuropsychological test and was cleared to resume playing. Orpik didn't practice Monday.
