Regarding 'Sadly, Marine Has Nothing But Time' (Metro, Oct. 16):
I seldom agree with the viewpoints espoused by Daniel Ruth but am moved to express my support of this column regarding the Bollea/Graziano circus. Although the injured young man must bear some responsibility for riding in Nick Bollea's speeding car without a seatbelt, the price he's paying is steep.
What should outrage us all is that law enforcement seems to be dragging its feet on this case. And adding insult to injury, it seems every time I flip TV channels, I see the brainless 'Hogan Knows Best' show being broadcast on VH1. How insensitive is that?
I don't think the streets of Tampa Bay can be considered safe for the law-abiding driver when known street racers aren't even given a slap on the wrist and their cute little 'exploits' are beamed into America's TVs as if this dysfunctional 'family' is something to be amused instead of disgusted by.
