PLANT CITY - A 3-year-old quarter horse was stolen last week from a pasture, and Hillsborough County deputies are seeking the animal and the thief.
Bugs, who is red and has a black mane and tail, is valued at $20,000.

The horse was stolen Oct. 11 from a pasture at 4802 Bruton Road, and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office was called Wednesday. The theft doesn't appear to be connected to other recent horse thefts in the county, according to the sheriff's office.
Bugs has a star with a snip of white on the face and darker coloring on all legs from the knees down.
The horse may have been stolen, but it's also possible the animal just jumped out of the pasture, trying to breed, sheriff's Detective Larry Lingo said.
Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8744.
