Nightclub Patron Bashed With Tip Jar

LITHIA - A fight at Bamboo's nightclub ended early this morning when one man shattered a tip jar over another's head, Hillsborough County deputies said.

According to an arrest report, Joseph A. Myers, 27, of 2341 Merrily Circle S., Seffner, grabbed a glass tip jar and hit a man during an argument at 1 a.m.

The bar is at 16144 Churchview Drive, Suite 202.

Myers was charged with felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and was in Orient Road Jail this morning with bail set at $7,500.

The victim suffered a large cut and could not recall the incident because of his injury, authorities said.

Deputies arrested Myers after a witness reported seeing him swing the jar, the report states.
