THE DIFFERENCE: Jefferson secured its place in the Class 4A playoffs after the Dragons (3-4, 2-0 4A-10) took control with two touchdowns in the first 3:29. Darrell Young took the third snap from scrimmage for a 57-yard touchdown run, and following a fumble recovery by D.J. Penny, quarterback Zack Grossi found Lester Lewis on a 25-yard touchdown pass. Grossi finished the night with four touchdowns, two to Lewis.

GAME NOTES: Jefferson took to the field in all-black home uniforms that had been held back for its homecoming game. … Blake (0-8, 0-2) got its best field position of the game after a fumble put the Yellow Jackets at the Jefferson 32-yard line. However, one holding penalty, two false starts and two losses on running plays moved the Yellow Jackets back into their own territory before quarterback Michael McFarland was intercepted on a third-and-34. … Blake running back Willie Hopps finished with 74 yards on 20 carries.

STAT OF THE GAME: Jefferson had 260 yards in the first half, while holding Blake to 65.
