Fire Leads To Discovery Of Marijuana Plants

PLANT CITY - Firefighters took just 20 minutes to extinguish an attic fire Friday morning, but law enforcement ended up spending much of the morning at the home investigating a possible marijuana grow-house operation, officials said.
The fire was reported at 7:45 a.m. at 2303 Edith Delaney Lane, near Strafford and Branch Forbes roads, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue spokesman Ray Yeakley said. No one was injured.
In addition to the fire, crews found marijuana plants inside, Hillsborough County sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
Hillsborough County property records show the home is owned by Jorge Valdivia.
