Goth Icon Manson Puts His L.A. Haunt For Sale For $1.1 Million

LOS ANGELES - Since summer, when he started on a 91-date world tour, shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has been gone a lot from his L.A. home.

Apparently, absence hasn't made his heart grow fonder, and now he's listed the one-story, 4,500-square-foot Mediterranean for sale at $1.1 million.

The irony is that, after owning the property in the Chatsworth section for a few years, he's selling it just as he's gotten the five-bedroom house the way he wants it. The 38-year-old musician turned the garage into a recording studio. The house also has an office-library and a bonus room. There is a pool and a covered barbecue.

Gated, on slightly more than half an acre and perched above street level for even more privacy, the home has views of the San Fernando Valley. It was originally constructed in 1937 and was once owned by actors Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Taylor. It has distressed hardwood floors and has been completely rebuilt through the years.

Clippers Star Grabs Own Rebound
Los Angeles Clippers player Cuttino Mobley no sooner listed his Beverly Hills-area home for close to $4 million, than he took it off the market.

The Mediterranean-style house has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a pool and mountain views. It features a master bathroom with a spa tub and steam shower with imported Italian stone, a patio off the upstairs landing, a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen and French doors leading to the pool.

In 2005, Mobley, 32, reached an agreement with the basketball team that is believed to be the richest contract the team has ever awarded a free agent from outside the organization. The terms were not revealed, but the veteran shooting guard is believed to have signed a five-year deal worth $42 million.

Gallo Has Lofty Hopes

Actor, director, screenwriter, artist and composer-musician Vincent Gallo has purchased two units at the Biscuit Company Lofts in downtown Los Angeles. Gallo, 46, directed and starred in the film 'Buffalo 66' (1998) and recorded the album 'At Home' with Sean Lennon. Now, he is focused on turning his downtown L.A. lofts into live-work spaces.

He bought the lofts for nearly $2.2 million. He plans to use the 1,160-square-foot first-floor unit as his studio-office. The two-story loft with 2,926 square feet will be his living quarters.

Architect Patrick Tighe is working with Gallo on the design, keeping the downtown views in mind. The larger of Gallo's units has oversized factory windows and 946 square feet of terraces.

Murphy's Ex Moving On

Nicole Mitchell Murphy, actor Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, has listed her Calabasas home at slightly less than $10 million.

The estate, built in 2005, has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 9,200 square feet. The home also has a six-car garage, a screening room and mountain and canyon views.

Murphy, 39, split with her husband in June 2005, after 12 years of marriage and five children. When they met, she was a top-earning model.
