Marie Osmond fainted onstage during ABC's live broadcast Monday of 'Dancing with the Stars' but quickly recovered.
Osmond and her partner, dancer Jonathan Roberts, the first performers of the evening, had just finished a samba and were listening to comments from the show's judges when she suddenly toppled.
'She was laughing and then sank like a stone. ... Everyone froze,' ABC publicist Amy Astley said. As the show cut to a commercial, Osmond started to rise and was helped by others, Astley said.
When the show resumed after the break, host Tom Bergeron told the studio audience and TV viewers that Osmond had fainted but was fine.
'I want to just quote her exactly. ... The first words out of her mouth when she saw us all leaning over her were, 'Oh, crap,'' Bergeron said.
The singer, who turned 48 on Oct. 13, was well enough to take part in the next segment, in which she and Roberts learned that the judges had each awarded them seven out of 10 possible points.
Osmond was expected to undergo a medical examination as a precaution, Astley said.

Pitt and Jolie will serve as executive producers on the project. Scott Burns, who co-wrote 'The Bourne Ultimatum' and was a producer of 'An Inconvenient Truth,' also will executive produce and write the pilot.
Paging Pacey! Jackson Heads To 'Grey's'
Former 'Dawson's Creek' star Joshua Jackson will return to television later this season for a guest arc on 'Grey's Anatomy.'
Jackson will play a doctor on the ABC series. His first appearance is scheduled for the show's 11th episode, which barring a writers strike will likely air in December or January.
Jackson's stint on 'Grey's Anatomy' will be his first TV role since 'Dawson's Creek' ended in 2003.
Copperfield Cancels Asia Performances
David Copperfield has canceled upcoming shows in Southeast Asia after an FBI search of his Las Vegas warehouse and a casino theater where he regularly performs.
'His management sent an e-mail to organizers Sunday to inform that his shows will be postponed indefinitely,' Kittiyong Achawaphong of RSi Dream Entertainment said Monday. The company organized the 51-year-old magician's shows in Thailand.
The cancellations came after FBI agents conducted searches in Las Vegas last week following allegations that Copperfield 'forced himself' on an unidentified woman.
Copperfield's lawyer has said the allegations 'are false because David Copperfield has never forced himself on anyone.'
