Drivers heading west on State Road 60 near Plant City may need to find an alternate route.
A tractor-trailer rear-ended a minivan at the Sam Hicks Road exit about midnight, causing the truck to overturn and the minivan to catch fire, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fire quickly was extinguished, and the minivan's driver was not injured, troopers said. There was no word on the truck driver's condition.
About 25 gallons of fuel spilled, troopers said. The patrol reopened the eastbound lanes of S.R. 60 just before 2 a.m. The westbound lanes were still closed at 5:30 a.m.
