SILVER SPRINGS SHORES - A 25-year-old man was freed by firefighters from a ventilation shaft Tuesday, where he had been wedged upright for several hours.

He was charged with commercial burglary and other crimes.
Jeffery W. Mumani, 25, says he's no thief and that he was in the shaft to rescue a cat.
"I heard a cat in the thing. I was trying to chase the cat," Mumani said.
A milkman for T.G. Lee heard the trapped man Tuesday morning, store manager Nicholas Gajraj said.
