CORAL GABLES Senior WR Lance Leggett is ready to return to the lineup after missing the last two games due to an ankle injury.
However, Coach Randy Shannon said Leggett will have to earn his playing time before the Hurricanes next game on Nov. 3 against N.C. State.
"In the beginning of the season [Coach Shannon] said if you get hurt you have to work your way back up and you start from the bottom," Leggett said. "I just have to work and keep my mind straight and stay focused."
Leggett is second on the team with 235 receiving yards on 14 receptions.
Leggett did not make the trip to Tallahassee last week and watched the thrilling victory from home.
"That was like missing a national championship game," Leggett said. "Especially because I had to be at home. If I was at the game I would have been happy, but I wasnt even at the game."
OUT RECRUITING: Seven assistant coaches missed practice as they were on the road recruiting. Only coordinators Patrick Nix and Tim Walton were at practice.
