DADE CITY - Got the Volkswagen bug? Want to show it off?
Saturday is the deadline to enter Herbie's kind of cars in the 19th annual Pasco Bug Jam, billed as the largest VW show in the Southeast.
Volkswagen fans will jam from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, next to Pasco High School on State Road 52. The host is the nonprofit Pasco County Fair Association Inc.
The event traditionally features more than 400 VWs, plus more than 100 vendors of new and used parts; children's games; live entertainment; contests; food; and an auction benefiting All Children's Hospital.
Car registration is $25, which includes admission for two and a goody bag, show T-shirt and dash plaque. For entry forms, go online to www.pascobugjam.com, e-mail vwshow@pascobugjam .com or call (352) 567-6678.
Spectators must bring a can of food for admission; adults also pay $5. Parking is $2.
The food benefits Suncoast Harvest Food Bank. All other proceeds go to nonprofit organizations.
