Humvee Accident Takes Life Of Land O' Lakes Army Sergeant At Fort Riley, Kan.

LAND O' LAKES - A 30-year-old Army sergeant from Land O' Lakes died in a Humvee rollover accident at Fort Riley in Kansas, according to an Army spokesman.

Sgt. Scott Turner died on Oct. 24.

Turner was an M1 armor crewman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division. He was serving as a transition team trainer.

Transition team training is a 60-day cycle at Fort Riley to prepare small teams of personnel from different branches of the military to coach their Iraqi or Afghan counterparts, the Army said.
