Eufemia Monica Perez-Dimas, 19, of 2125 Johnson Ave., Haines City, was arrested Thursday on charges of aggravated battery.
Police said they were called to Heart of Florida Hospital on Oct. 20 after a woman reported she'd been cut more than 10 times on her face and had knife wounds on her back and left arm.
Perez-Dimas, police said, went to the woman's house at 620 McLeod Ave. The two were talking outside the home when Perez-Dimas pulled out a pocketknife and started slashing, police said.
Authorities found a knife at the scene.
The two know each other and both are in a beauty contest sponsored by a local radio station.
Perez-Dimas was taken to Polk County Jail.
