Tykes at the Guavaween Family FunFest today may be dodging some raindrops, but the adults in the more prurient nighttime revelry have less chance of getting wet, if they notice.
The National Weather Service says today should be kind of gloomy with cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of rain. On the plus side, though, there is only about a 10-20 percent chance of thunderstorms.
The rain chance will last all day from the 10 a.m. start of the FunFest through its end about 4 p.m. The rain will come and go. However, if a thunderstorm moves overhead, it could drop some heavy rain for a short time.
The rain chances drop to about 20 percent by the 8 p.m. start of the Mama Guava Stumble Parade. The chance of a thunderstorm drops to less than 10 percent.
The clouds will keep temperatures in the 70s until the afternoon when the temperature peaks about 83 around 3 p.m.
Actually, the rain should be with us the rest of the weekend and well into next week, including a 30 percent chance of rain on Halloween night.
