STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Maybe now No. 1 Ohio State will get the respect it's looking for.
Todd Boeckman threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns and Chris Wells ran for 133 yards, leading the Buckeyes to another easy victory, 37-17 against No. 24 Penn State on Saturday night.

The Buckeyes' vaunted defense didn't play up to its typical stingy standards, but it didn't need to with Boeckman on a roll and Ohio State's massive offensive line dominating the line of scrimmage.

Several Buckeyes earlier this week complained they weren't getting enough respect despite their No. 1 ranking in the polls and Bowl Championship Series standings.

The win gave Ohio State its 19th straight Big Ten win, tying the mark set by Michigan in 1990-92. The Buckeyes' last Big Ten loss came Oct. 8, 2005, 17-10 at Penn State.

MICHIGAN 34, MINNESOTA 10: Mario Manningham had five receptions for a career-high 162 yards and a victory-sealing TD early in the fourth quarter, helping No. 19 Michigan (7-2, 5-0) pull away from visiting Minnesota (1-8, 0-5).

Without star seniors Mike Hart and Chad Henne, Michigan trailed 10-0 early in the second quarter and didn't lead by more than a score until late in the third.

IOWA 34, MICHIGAN STATE 27: Third-string running back Jevon Pugh scored on a 1-yard run in double overtime, helping host Iowa (4-5, 2-4) beat Michigan State (5-4, 1-4).

Albert Young had 179 yards rushing and two touchdowns for Iowa, which had rallied from a 17-3 halftime deficit. Michigan State tied the game at 20 on a 29-yard field goal by Brett Swenson with four seconds left in regulation.

WISCONSIN 33, INDIANA 3: Backup Lance Smith ran for two TDs after P.J. Hill left with an injury, helping Wisconsin (7-2, 3-2) to a victory vs. Indiana (5-4, 2-4) and extending the Badgers' home winning streak to 13 games.

PURDUE 35, NORTHWESTERN 17: Jaycen Taylor ran for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns to lead host Purdue (7-2, 3-2) past Northwestern (5-4, 2-3).

ILLINOIS 28, BALL STATE 17: Illinois (6-3) secured bowl eligibility for the first time since the 2001 season, coming from behind to beat visiting Ball State (5-4) behind 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns from Rashard Mendenhall.

Pac-10

OREGON 24, USC 17: Jonathan Stewart ran for 103 yards and two TDs as No. 5 Oregon got past No. 9 USC.

Dennis Dixon completed 16 of 25 passes for 157 yards. He also ran for 76 yards and a TD for host Oregon (7-1, 4-1). The Ducks, who came into the game ranked second nationally in total offense, had 339 yards against the Trojans (6-2, 3-2).

ARIZONA 48, WASHINGTON 41: Willie Tuitama passed for a school-record 510 yards, and his 27-yard touchdown pass to Mike Thomas with 2:02 left rallied Arizona (3-6, 2-4) to a stunning win against host Washington (2-6, 0-5).

Tuitama directed the Wildcats 80 yards in 11 plays, capping the decisive drive with a pass to Thomas in the back of the end zone. Arizona scored 22 points in the fourth quarter.

OREGON STATE 23, STANFORD 6: Sean Canfield threw for 142 yards and Alexis Serna kicked three field goals to lead host Oregon State (5-3, 3-2) past Stanford (3-5, 2-4).

Matthew Sieverson ran for 68 yards after replacing injured tailback Yvenson Bernard for the Beavers. Bernard ran for 62 yards before leaving at halftime with a shoulder injury.

WASHINGTON STATE 20, UCLA 7: Dwight Tardy rushed for a career-best 214 yards and two touchdowns as host Washington State (3-5, 1-4) upset UCLA (5-3, 4-1).

Against the third-best rush defense in the conference, Tardy broke free for a 51-yard scoring run in the closing seconds to cap his first 100-yard game against a league opponent this season.

Big 12

KANSAS 19, TEXAS A&M 11: Brandon McAnderson rushed for a career-high 183 yards and two TDs as No. 12 Kansas (8-0, 4-0) improved to 8-0 for the first time since 1909 by beating host Texas A&M (6-3, 3-2).

Todd Reesing went 21-for-33 for 180 yards, and the Jayhawks' fifth-ranked defense did the rest, holding the Aggies to 127 yards and six first downs through three quarters.

TEXAS 28, NEBRASKA 25: Jamaal Charles ran for a career-high 290 yards, 216 and three TDs in the fourth quarter, and carried No. 17 Texas (7-2, 3-2) past visiting Nebraska (4-5, 1-4), sending the Cornhuskers to their fourth straight loss.

COLORADO 31, TEXAS TECH 26: Cody Hawkins threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns and Colorado (5-4, 3-2) intercepted Graham Harrell four times, returning one for a score in a victory against host Texas Tech (6-3, 2-3).

Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree set the NCAA freshman record for receptions in a season. He had 12 catches for 131 yards and a TD, giving him 100 catches, 1,451 yards and 18 TDs, all of which lead the country. He overtook the 98 catches by former Tech running back Taurean Henderson in 2002.

MISSOURI 42, IOWA STATE 28: Lorenzo Williams recovered a fumble in the end zone at the start of the second half, giving No. 13 Missouri (7-1, 3-1) breathing room and momentum in a victory against visiting Iowa State (1-8, 0-5).

KANSAS STATE 51, BAYLOR 13: Josh Freeman threw TD passes on three straight possessions to open the second half, and wide receiver Jordy Nelson broke another school record as Kansas State (5-3, 3-2) beat visiting Baylor (3-6, 0-5).

Nelson had eight catches for 105 yards and broke the Kansas State record for receptions in a season. His 8-yard catch from backup Carson Coffman was his 76th this year, breaking Darnell McDonald's mark of 75 in 1988.

Also

DELAWARE 59, NAVY 52: Joe Flacco threw four TD passes and Omar Cuff rushed for four scores to lead visiting Delaware (7-1) to a wild upset of Navy (4-4).

NORTH DAKOTA STATE 52, SOUTHERN UTAH 17: Special teams ace Shamen Washington (Boca Ciega) gained 150 yards on returns and scored a touchdown on offense to help host North Dakota State (8-0, 2-0 Great West) thrash Southern Utah (0-8, 0-2).

The 5-foot-6, 148-pound junior returned the opening kickoff 54 yards to set up Pete Blincoe's 8-yard touchdown run. Washington added a 6-yard TD run in the second half.

SCORING RECORD: Weber State beat host Portland State 73-68 to set an NCAA all-division record for most points in a game at 141.

The previous record for most points by two teams was 136, set in 1968 when North Park beat North Central 104-32 in a Division III game. The Division I record was 133, set in 2004 when San Jose State beat Rice 70-63. Georgia Tech beat Cumberland 222-0 in 1916, but that was before the NCAA kept track of records.

In his first college start, freshman Drew Hubel threw nine touchdown passes for Portland State to set a school and conference record. He was 35-for-56 for 485 yards.
