CLEARWATER - A 14-month-old Clearwater boy has died after spending three to five minutes underwater at his family pool Monday, according to Clearwater Fire & Rescue.
Several family members were inside a residence at 3107 Chamblee Lane at about 5:12 p.m. when Johnathan Pham wandered onto the lanai through a sliding glass door that had been left open, a statement said.
A family member found the boy floating in the pool soon after, pulled him out and began first aid.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the child was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, the statement said.
There was no a barrier around the pool or pool alarm, the statement said.
