Regarding 'Women Share How Prayer Buoys Them' (BayLife, Oct. 27):
I was pleased to see Vickie Beck's review of the book How Strong Women Pray. It reminds me of my youth in the church where we were taught love, giving and redemption.
I look at the local 'supposedly' Christian Television Network and am offended by so much denigration of so many types of people, whereas I was taught we are all God's children. 'We love the sinner, but hate the sin' is a mockery of intelligence as the obviousness of their vile shows no inkling of compassion.
Now this discussion has evolved that Republicans are moral and Democrats are amoral. Thank God I live with the biblical quotation a very wise nun of the Catholic faith gave to me as a young boy, when she reminded me that God's word is 'judge not, lest you be judged.' We should all live this word and the world would be a better place.
