CORAL GABLES - CORAL GABLES - QB Kyle Wright participated in half of Tuesday's practice, mainly working on individual drills. Wright suffered a high ankle sprain and a sprain behind his knee against Florida State on Oct. 20.
Wright was in a cast until Saturday and has been receiving numerous treatment including massage, hot tub, cold tub, ultrasound, stretching, and exercises.
"At this point, I am not planning on being out," Wright said. "I am doing whatever I can to try and get back."
The Hurricanes had a bye last week and Wright said he would not have been able to play if the team had a game.
DIXON RETURNING SOON: DT Antonio Dixon has returned sooner than expected from his knee injury sustained Oct. 6 at North Carolina. Dixon injured his knee during a goal-line stand in the second quarter when his leg awkwardly got caught up in the scrum and players fell on it.
Dixon performed indoor one-on-one drills during practice and says he expects to make his return next week against Virginia. This week he says he only will be available for emergency situations.
LEGGETT BACK: WR Lance Leggett is back after missing the last two weeks with an injury.
