Apollo Beach Crash Victim Buried

A funeral was held Tuesday for the passenger of a BMW that crashed Thursday in Apollo Beach.
Rachel M. Morris, 20, of 11706 Lynmoor Drive, Riverview, died at the scene of the crash on Apollo Beach Boulevard.
The driver, 21-year-old Brittany L. Romer of Gibsonton, was injured. Her condition was not available Tuesday.
Romer, of 9410 Bullfrog Court, was driving west on Apollo Beach Boulevard at 5:49 p.m. when the 2007 convertible went off the road on a curve east of Surfside Boulevard, sheriff's deputies said. The car shot into the air and tumbled 291 feet before coming to rest upside down, authorities said.
