Regarding 'Risque Business' (BayLife, Oct. 30):
The idea that there's one night to allow yourself 'out of your comfort zone' is ludicrous! An STD will follow you no matter what state you got it in! If you dress like a streetwalker, be prepared to be seen differently, approached differently or forced into situations you normally would not be in and are unprepared to deal with! At the tender age of 12, 'streetwalker' is not a message to be sending!
Parents should stop worrying about being their child's friend and step up and be the parent! It's fine to tell your child, 'No! That's inappropriate for you to wear no matter what day it is!'
Parenting is 24/7; it doesn't take a night off, ever!
