Soldier Jailed In Tampa Charged With Incest, Sexual Battery

TAMPA - A 20-year-old soldier has been charged with three counts each of sexual battery and incest for his involvement with a 15-year-old girl, Hillsborough County sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.

Kyle R. White was arrested in Colorado Springs on fugitive warrants issued by Hillsborough County and was transferred to Orient Road Jail on Tuesday. He remains there without bail.

During March and April, White was in Tampa to visit relatives when he and the girl engaged in a consensual sexual relationship, Carter said. Afterward, they continued sending each other e-mail. The girl's father found and read the e-mail in August and contacted authorities.
