LARGO - A pharmacist was arrested and charged Tuesday with trafficking in controlled drugs stemming from his use of oxycodone and hydromorphone, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

Scott Alan Jacques
Scott Alan Jacques, 40, of 20312 Oak Key Court in Tampa, was charged with obtaining controlled substances by fraud, trafficking in a controlled substance and grand theft.
Jacques was arrested at 3 p.m. at Tab Safe Medical Services at 12025 Starkey Road in Largo.
He was charged with fraudulently obtaining oxycodone in tablet and liquid forms and hydromorphone tablets from April to August, authorities said.
The company was doing its monthly check and noticed a large quantity of oxycodone was missing. The company called authorities in August to investigate.
Jacques was using patients' names to falsify orders, authorities said.
He would then cancel the order, but instead of returning the controlled substances to stock, he would keep them for himself.
Authorities said Jacques told them there were 28 incidents of obtaining the drugs and he had used 14.4 grams of oxycodone and 100 milligrams of hydromorphone.
