TAMPA - Target store security officers detained two suspected shoplifters and Tampa police discovered one was wanted on out of county warrants for violating probation, according to arrest reports.
Store security officers at 1544 N. Dale Mabry Highway, stopped Heather M. Bower, 25, of Leland, and Clyde L. Dicus, 34, of Shady Hills, in the parking garage. Dicus was charged with petit theft and remains at Orient Road Jail on $500 bail.
Bower initially gave the officers two other names and when she was confronted about lying, she bolted away and tried to climb over a wall in the garage, the report said. The security officers caught her and held her until police arrived.
She was charged with giving a false name to a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. She remains at Orient Road Jail with no bail set.
