CORAL GABLES - Sophomore WR Sam Shields could start Saturday against Oklahoma.
After missing the first game due to a violation of team rules, Shields, a projected starter, was replaced by Khalil Jones in the starting lineup against Marshall.
Jones did not catch a pass in the game and had a key drop.
'If he beats the other guys out he will start; if not he will be coming of the bench,' said Miami coach Randy Shannon after Wednesday's practice.
INJURY UPDATE: FB Jerrell Mabry is now considered to be 75 percent according to Shannon. QB Robert Marve and WR Jermaine McKenzie are back in pads, but will not travel to Oklahoma.
