TAMPA - There are tentative plans for the University of South Florida to honor the 1997 inaugural team when the Bulls host Cincinnati on Nov. 3.
'Plans are under way internally to honor the first football team and other outstanding teams and athletes throughout the year,' said Bill McGillis, USF's associate AD for marketing. 'It's Coach Jim's Leavitt hopes to recognize the team at homecoming.'
Today marks the 10th anniversary of USF's first football game, an 80-3 victory against Kentucky Wesleyan.
