TAMPA - George Benson, Norman Brown, Natalie Cole and trio Medeski, Martin & Wood will be the headliners for this year's Clearwater Jazz Holiday, according to an announcement today.
The annual festival is held at Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater.
The festival begins Oct. 18 with sets by Benson and the Falconaires, the U.S. Air Force Jazz Ensemble.
Norman Brown's Summer Storm with Peabo Bryson, Jeff Lorber and Marion Meadows will close Friday's lineup, preceded by Chuck Owen and Jazz Surge, and Ray and Friends.
Jazz-rock fusionists Medeski, Martin & Wood are Saturday's headliners, with trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, Brian Bromberg's Downright Upright Band and The Michael Ross Quartet also on the bill.
Cole closes the festival Sunday, following performances from Joe Gransden, The Lynn Ariale Trio, The Hendrick Meurkins Samba Jazz Quartet and the Ruth Eckerd Hall/Clearwater Jazz Holiday Jazz Youth Band.
