Largo's offense pounded out 382 yards and the Packers' defense held Palm Harbor to 125 yards.
Palm Harbor's defensive line could not stand strong for the first half of the game, let alone four quarters worth of smash mouth ball handling by Largo's two main threats: quarterback Leonard Johnson and running back Brynn Harvey.
Harvey ran for 279 yards and scored five touchdowns. In the second half, Brynn touched the ball three times, one for a 59-yard touchdown run. When asked about his success, Brynn smiled and said, 'I have to give all the credit to my line and receivers.'
Harvey did most of his damage in the first half, rushing for 214 yards and four touchdowns, and broke three tackles during a 73-yard score. Although Harvey stacked up the rushing yards, Johnson put up his own attack, gaining 78 yards on the ground and 25 through the air. When asked about his amazing 20-yard run, in which he broke seven tackles, Johnson said, 'God has given me a talent and I am trying to use it to the best of my ability.'
Although the game was pretty much over by the first half, Palm Harbor still managed a little bit of life. Quarterback Sean Shelton went 8-for-15 for 84 yards through the air, and added 40 rushing yards.
Largo is on a roll, winning its second straight game behind Harvey and Johnson.
'We can only take this one game at a time,' Johnson said about the remainder of the season.
