Gale Walker
TAMPA - Police want to question a suspected prostitute in connection with the slaying of a 64-year-old Cliff Circle man found shot to death in his home Wednesday. They say she may be armed and dangerous.
Detectives are asking for the public's help in finding Gale Sandra Walker, 47, whose last known address was 5301 E. 21st Ave., Apartment B. She is described as white, 5-foot-4 and 128 pounds. Police say they want only to question Walker.
Police are also trying to find Dean Babbitt Lake's vehicle, a 1987 white Chevrolet Monte Carlo with the license number Q341XC. It has a red front fender.
Officers who went to check on Lake's welfare found him in a moderate state of decomposition. Detectives took over the investigation and determined he had been shot to death.
Walker may also live at 4509 Fountain Blue Circle in Hillsborough County, police said in a statement. They say she is a known prostitute who frequents Drew Park, the 50th Street and Columbus Drive area and trailer parks along Broadway Avenue.
Anyone with information is asked to call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
