TAMPA - Court hearings for area residents cited with violating the city's water restrictions are under a rain delay.
Last week, the county courthouse at Floriland Business Center was shut down while crews try to clean up a mold problem caused by a leaky roof and broken air-conditioner compressors. The courthouse mostly handles traffic citations but also handles a few other minor violations, such as water-restriction citations.
The water-use hearings were scheduled for Tuesday. Instead, they will be held Oct. 16 at a location to be determined. Citation holders will be notified by mail of their new court date and location.
Tampa Water Department employees will sit outside the Floriland location at 6 p.m. Tuesday to alert those who were not notified about the change.
Anyone with questions about their citations can call the city enforcement office at (813) 349-5014.
